It’s going to be another hot beautiful
SUN 🌞 DAY 😍

Hello Sinsheim! We are ready for Day2!

Lining up for the start 🏁

Day two:

START: Technik Museum Sinsheim

Ready. Steady. Go!

Trying to find shade at 8:30am ☀️
Sparking ✨

Today is a rather short but very beautiful ride through the northern part of Swabia: Heidelberger countryside. Hohenlohe. Heilbronner Land.

Cruising somewhere in Swabia – wonderful landscape 🫶
Rolling along vineyards 🍇

Baby, it’s hot inside 😅
Biggest driving challenge today: find the mobile flashes and don’t get caught speeding 🚗 💨 while taking photos (think we made it)

Found the hidden stamp control 💪🏻
Taking over slower Oldtimers… some of them a bit angry… 🚩

And finally arriving at Bosch Boxberg. We are excited for the 7 rally challenges we have to master here!

Bosch Boxberg is a proving ground, specifically a test and development center for vehicle technology, owned by Robert Bosch GmbH. It’s located in the town of Boxberg, in the Baden-Württemberg region of Germany. The facility is used for testing and developing vehicles, vehicle systems, and driver assistance function.

In other words, it’s a highly secured place in which – if you are permitted entrance – you are usually not allowed to bring your mobile phone or take photos. So this is very special and our first time here.

Today it was open for us rally participants but also for public audience.

That’s the proving ground.
Queueing… for the test run on the oval track
🏁 🚩 🏁 🚩🏁

The tests we had to do for winning this rally: a lot about (high) speed control on the high-speed oval track. Handling courses for extreme situations. Driving half a heart frontwards, the other half backwards – more difficult than it sounds like. Driving on “ice” at 40C degrees 😅 Slalom. Oh we loved the slalom part. A parcour within a certain time and an average of 60km/h – hubby nailed it!!! Break measurements… and plenty more.

We had a blast!

On top of the high-speed track. That’s how steep it is.
3pm: finished all rally tests. Time for ice-cream while waiting for the test results.
For those without a car

🏆

Well, we made it #26 out of 110 Oldtimers in the section “tradition”. Not too bad! And most importantly: Aperoli is well, but needs new breaks now 😁

The best part for last.

The Grande Finale: Oldtimer Korso on the high-speed oval track.

😁😁😁😁 E X C I T E D 🏁

3 rounds max 80km/h followed by more rounds max 130km/h. Wohooooo!

Photo stop if you were able to walk up the steep wall… hubby in green ☺️
The 24th Bosch Boxberg Klassik rally ends with the grand parade of all participants on the high-speed oval at the Boxberg test center.

Flying high 😁

We are back home. We are exhausted. We are happy. We are again looking forward to a nice shower 😁

Exit!

Thanks to the Bosch team, that was a fantastic rally weekend with beautiful Oldtimers. We met a couple of colleagues I haven’t seen in years. We also enjoyed the A/C in the hotel rooms 🫶

“Driving history through Boxberg, Germany: On June 28, 2025, the 24th Bosch Boxberg Klassik kicked off from Motorworld Region Stuttgart in Böblingen, marking the start of an unforgettable vintage car rally weekend.

On Sunday, June 29, the rally headed to the Bosch Test Center in Boxberg, where the vintage car parade on the high-speed oval brought the event to an exciting close. p

With 135 classic car teams, scenic routes, and original stages, this year’s rally was packed with memorable moments.

Organized by @bosch_classic, our division for classic cars, and Bosch Oldtimer Schrauber e.V., and supported by over 200 Bosch associates and their families, the event owes its special charm to its warm, welcoming atmosphere.” Thanks, Bosch, this was class!

Hope to be back on next year, celebrating the rally’s 25 year anniversary!

Aperoli can relax for 5 days until we are rolling to the next adventure! Stay tuned!
