Aperolis first roadtrip in 2025: via the Swabian Alb to the south of Bavaria. A long weekend with sunshine in the baggage. It’s so good to be back, this time with hubby onboard. Perfect weather, stunning scenery & landscape, servus beautiful Bavaria!

Cruising along the German Alpin Road close to the Austrian border & sometimes crossing to Austria by accident: castles, the most beautiful lakes, Bavarian food including daily beer garden visits & a concert. We had a blast. Bavaria is very beautiful.

The most beautiful road in the Bavarian Alps: from lush Alpine meadows, gently rolling hills and verdant forests to craggy peaks, romantic valleys and sparkling lakes.

Arrived in Füssen, the gateway to Neuschwanstein Castle or where the German Alpine Road meets the Romantic Road.

Ludwig II built Neuschwanstein Castle, a stone medieval holy-grail dream-come-true, and a refuge for the king far away from court ceremonies and government obligations.

Bavaria without white sausage breakfast? Never!

Allgäu Life!

Munich. The Pixies. Again. Last seen in Charleston, USA many years ago. A Christmas gift. Listened to their new album all weekend long (and like the old songs much better).

Besides many gas stops, fixing a blinker and refilling oil… all went smooth until… TODAY.
The real adventure started on the way home. Aperoli doesn’t like rain. What was planned as an easy 2.5hrs via Autobahn kind of trip… ended up on the sideway of the A8, followed by pushing (!!!) the car with me inside steering it to the next Autobahn exit ~500m.

Great job, hubby!!! Calling ADAC. Trying it again after 1hr waiting for ADAC to arrive… tried it off Autobahn… and succeeded. 3.5hrs later we are home safe & sound. Never a dull moment with Aperoli!

Aperoli got many thumps up this weekend. Well done!

We had a great weekend. Happy to be back home including Aperoli. Next step: 5x why to find out the root cause for our little raining problem.
Next rally in 8 weeks 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
