Todays driven distance: ~300km

Good morning, Darmstadt!

Start time today: 11:11am. Helau! 🤡

Team in purple is ready!

Today’s route: cruising through the beautiful Spessart. Crossing again Frankonia. Lunch very idyllic in the middle of nowhere before ending the rally in Gießen/Hessen.

Ever wondered what a navigators & co-pilots job is?
- Preparing the Roadbook in the morning (checking for special hints, eg installed flashes along route, distances —> plan gas stops, hidden stamp stops & games, and most importantly figuring out the start point…).
- Navigating: reading Roadbook, translating German to English & communicating to driver & checking / resetting tripmeter. Sometimes screaming (in case driver didn’t listen or decided to follow his own way which is usually not right), correcting way (eg drivers bad choice, unforeseen road work, etc).
- Finding hidden stamp stops en route.
- Communication is key.
- Checking rally what’s up group for last minute updates.
- Taking photos of the beautiful surroundings we are passing.
- Enjoying the ride, having fun 😃

Let’s talk about karma: karma is when a 7er BMW rally car is taking you over to show off and while doing that, missing its right turn. They arrived 20min later at lunch. Hahaha.
No rain, no oil on the road today!

3km before rally finish, we ran out of gas! This time prepared & wanted the challenge…

Ended up in the middle of Ferraris today. We enjoyed that. They not so much. Lol.

We made it 🏁🏁🏁

We arrived 💪🏻

We are off to the rally party! Celebrating…
